TOPIC 1

Penguins.

Penguins are very interesting birds living in the Antarctic coasts and islands. (12)
These funny birds live in large colonies. Even hundreds thousand specimens can live in one colony. Female penguins have young once a year. They usually lay one or two eggs. Young penguins are white-yellowish and fluffy. (47)
Adult penguins are black and white. These short-leged birds with small wings can't fly. However, they can swim very fast and dive very well. And they can slide on bellies on ice! (81)

Pingwiny.

     Pingwiny są bardzo interesującymi ptakami żyjącymi na wybrzeżach i wyspach Antarktydy.
     Te pocieszne ptaki żyją w ogromnych koloniach. W jednej kolonii może żyć nawet kilkaset tysięcy osobników. Samice pingwinów mają młode raz w roku. Znoszą one zwykle jedno lub dwa jaja. Młode pingwiny są biało-żółtawe i puchate.
     Dorosłe pingwiny są biało-czarne. Te krótkonogie ptaki z małymi skrzydełkami nie mogą fruwać. Jednakże, bardzo szybko pływają i bardzo dobrze nurkują. No i umieją ślizgać się na brzuszkach po lodzie!

     Jesienią jest zimno, deszczowo i mglisto. Jednakże są też okresy ładnej pogody. Noce są chłodne.
     Zimy są mroźne i śnieżne, ale mogą być też łagodne.

     Pogoda w Polsce jest zróżnicowana.

     Wiosną może być zimno, deszczowo, ciepłe lub sucho. Noce są zimne lub nawet mroźne, dni są często ciepłe lub upalne. Często są burze z piorunami.

     Latem jest zwykle gorąco i sucho, ale są też chłodne i deszczowe dni. Noce są zwykle ciepłe. Czasami są burze.

     Pogoda jesienią jest zwykle brzydka: jest zimno, pochmurno, deszczowo i mglisto. Ale są też ładne dni. Noce są często deszczowe i wietrzne. Mogą być też opady śniegu.
     Zimy są mroźne i śnieżne, ale mogą być też łagodne. Noce są zimne. Są również czasami zawieje śnieżne.
     Podsumowując, pogoda w Polsce jest zróżnicowana.

I've got a pet parrot. I bought it at a pet shop yesterday. My pet's name's Eurococo. It's two years! (18))
Eurococo's big and it's got a long tail with yellow and red feathers. Its wings are long and blue, its belly is yellow. My parrot's got two short legs with four fingers and sharp claws. My parrot's head is big and green but eyes are small and yellow. My pet's beak is big, grey and hooked. (73)

Opis mojego zwierzątka-pupilka

     Mam zwierzątko papugę. Kupiłam je wczoraj w sklepie ze zwierzętami. Imię mojego zwierzaczka to Eurococo. Ma ono 2 lata!
     Eurococo jest duży i ma długi ogon z żółtymi i czerwonymi piórami. Jego skrzydła są długie i niebieskie, brzuszek jest żółty. Moja papuga ma dwie krótkie nogi z czterema palcami i z ostrymi pazurami. Głowa mojej papugi jest duża i zielona, ale oczy są małe i żółte. Dziób mojego zwierzaka /(pupilka)jest duży, szary i zakrzywiony.
     Eurococo jest piękny, miły i zabawny.Bardzo go lubię.

My friend Eva's got a pet - male parrot. He's from Brasil. She bought him at a pet shop yesterday. Her pet's name's Eurococo. He's a young bird - he's two years! (28)
Eurococo's quite big and he's got a very long colourful tail. There are long yellow, green, blue and red feathers in it! His wings are long. The wings and a back are blue. His belly is yellow.       Moja przyjaciółka Ewa ma zwierzątko: papugę-samczyka. Jest on z Brazylii. Kupiła go wczoraj w sklepie ze zwierzętami. Imię jej zwierzaczka to Eurococo. Jest to młody ptak - ma 2 lata.
      Eurococo jest dość duży i ma bardzo długi, kolorowy ogon. Są w nim długie, żółte, zielone, niebieskie i czerwone pióra! Jego skrzydła są długie. Skrzydła i grzbiet są niebieskie. Jego brzuszek jest żółty.
Jej papuga ma dwie krótkie, szaro-zielone nogi. Każda noga ma 4 palce z ostrymi pazurami. Głowa papugi Ewy jest duża, ale jego oczy są małe. Głowa jest zielono-biało-niebieska, a oczy są zółte. Dziób jej zwierzaka / (pupilka) jest duży, szary i zakrzywiony.
     Eurococo jest piękny, miły, zabawny i bystry.
     Ewa bardzo go lubi.

     Pingwiny są zabawnymi, ale interesującymi ptakami. Żyją one na wybrzeżach i wyspach Antarktyki.
     Pingwiny żyją w koloniach po kilkaset tysięcy osobników. Żywią się rybami. Ptaki te znoszą zazwyczaj jedno lub dwa jaja i mają młode raz w roku.

     Pingwiny mają czarne, granatowe lub szare grzbiety i białe brzuchy. Ich młode są jasnoszare.
     Pingwiny są dziwnymi ptakami, ponieważ nie umieją fruwać. Potrafią pływać z prędkością nawet 20 km/h i bardzo dobrze nurkują. No i umieją ślizgać się na brzuszkach!

In the mountains.

The mountains are beautiful and interesting but dangerous. (8)
In the mountains there are lots of hills and mounts. They form mountain ranges. Shorter and longer valleys separate these ranges. (27)
There are usually a lot of springs, brooks and streams in the mountains. Some of them form waterfalls. Green grass, bushes and trees grow on mountainsides. (52)
It's really fantastic views in the mountains! (60)

W górach.

   Góry są piękne i interesujące, ale niebezpieczne.

   W górach jest dużo wzgórz i gór. Tworzą one pasma górskie. Krótsze i dłuższe doliny oddzielają te pasma.

   W górach jest zazwyczaj dużo źródeł, strumyków i potoków. Niektóre z nich tworzą wodospady. Zielone trawa, krzewy i drzewa rosną na górskich zboczach.

   W górach są naprawdę fantastyczne widoki!

   Moją ulubioną porą roku jest lato.
   Uwielbiam lato, bo wtedy pogoda jest zwykle bardzo przyjemna. No i, oczywiście, nie muszę chodzić do szkoły i mogę odpoczywać!
   W lecie gram z kolegami w piłkę albo chodzę popływać. Często jeździmy też naszymi rowerami. Wieczorami często chodzimy do kina lub oglądamy telewizję.
   W lecie jest naprawdę świetnie!

The mountains are a beautiful and interesting but dangerous place. (9)
In the mountains there are lots of lower and higher hills and mounts. They form mountain ranges or chains. Shorter and longer valleys separate these ranges. (35)
There are usually a lot of smaller and bigger springs, brooks and streams in the mountains. Some of them form waterfalls. The water is squeaky clean. Grass, bushes and trees grow on mountainsides and in mountain valleys. (71)
It's beautifully in the mountains! It's really fantastic views there! (81)

W górach.

   Góry są pięknym i interesującym, ale niebezpiecznym miejscem.
   W górach jest dużo niższych i wyższych wzgórz i gór. Tworzą one pasma lub łańcuchy górskie. Krótsze i dłuższe doliny oddzielają te pasma.

   W górach jest zazwyczaj dużo mniejszych i większych źródeł, strumyków i potoków. Niektóre z nich tworzą wodospady. Woda jest czyściutka. Trawa, krzewy i drzewa rosną na górskich zboczach i w górskich dolinach.

   W górach jest przepięknie. Są tam naprawdę fantastyczne widoki!
